George Ortiz, Owner & Casting Director:
George Ortiz moved to Miami from New York in the late 1970's. His experience dates back to the early 1980's when he began his work in on-camera acting & theater. George then progressively went behind the camera, taking on a wide-range of duties working on various TV commercial productions. Following his passion and interest in casting, he specialized in on-set talent coordination and casting. After various years directing casting sessions for various clients, in 1999, he founded Miami Talento Casting / George Ortiz Casting
George’s professional background & experience, branches out in the field of Marketing in both the corporate and non-profit world. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications & Marketing/Advertising from The University of Miami, as well as a Master’s Degree in Education from Nova Southeastern University. Both his acting experience as well as his corporate background, allow George to view his projects from both a "creative" and a "business" perspective. In addition, his background in education has allowed him to experience first hand, working in a bilingual teaching environment with children as well as young adults. This experience allows him to effectively communicate fluently in both the English and Spanish language with talent of all ages in an instructive, to the point and friendly manner.
George's success as a casting director is a direct result of his professionalism and ability to direct, communicate and encourage talent, while meeting his clients’ requests. His style and method of communicating with people, enhances the performer's confidence and audition potential.
George Ortiz Casting provides full casting services to advertising agencies, production companies & TV Networks. We provide casting services for Union: SAG-AFTRA, AEA projects as well as Non-Union jobs. We are a fully bilingual company and work with both Spanish & English Language projects as well as other languages. We cast projects for the U.S. Hispanic, U.S. General Markets, as well as Latin America, Europe, & have also worked on projects for the Middle East and Africa.
We also provide casting services for television shows and theatre/musical theatre productions for both Spanish and English language and bilingual programming.

George Ortiz Casting, also provides casting services for the US General Market (Coca Cola, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Olympus Digital Cameras, Advair, Dove Shampoo, Target, etc) and is able to audition a wide-range of diverse talent of all ages.
